One Line Drawings

Viewers became participants by standing next to the paper and became connected to other participants through the drawing. This way, the importance of individuals coming together as a community is celebrated tangibly, and anyone is welcome to participate. The normal barriers to being included in the art are broken down, and the chance to celebrate and create a new way of creating community is given to each participant freely. This performance usually includes 10-25 participants and can be easily spaced out to follow social distancing guidelines. It can be easily adapted to many different settings, as the main elements are a roll of Kraft paper, a few sharpies, a wall, and an audience.
